Checking Your Fingerprint Transmission Status

• Please allow a minimum of 7 days before making a status inquiry.
• First check with the agency that requested the background review. The DOJ sends results directly to requesting organization.
• Call the 24-hour DOJ Automated Telephone Service: 916-227-4557 (you will need your date of birth and the ATI number on your Live Scan Form)

Requesting Agencies

• The DOJ asks that Applicant Agencies file an Applicant Fingerprint Transaction Follow-up Request Form to them via fax at 916-227-2000, so that they may track a missing Applicant record.
• Please be advised that this form is not to be used for updating an Agency's current criminal history information or any other record keeping purpose.
